GRIZZLY BEARS CATCHING SALMON
Meet the top predator in the area on your trip to British Columbia. Canada is one of the best outdoor destinations around with millions of acres of wilderness waiting to be explored. This trip allows you to explore just a little bit of that wilderness around the Bella Coola Valley, an isolated area on the coast of British Columbia.
So how do you go about finding the grizzly bear? Trips are timed to coincide with the annual salmon run (so another great wildlife encounter to tick off!) and all you need to is drift down the river, keeping a lookout for grizzlies fishing. The boats used are drift boats, so no engine to spoil the atmosphere. If simply drifting feels a bit lazy you will also get to hike, with a guide, in the surrounding woods, on the look out for signs that the bears have been around. Your guide will be able to show you all the tracks and marks and explain the bear's behavior
But its not just grizzlies, there are plenty of other animal encounters to look forward to, black bears, bald eagles, wolves, cougars, mountain goats and a hundred other species are all there to be discovered - you just have to look.
