THE SOURCE OF THE BLUE NILE
Ethiopia is the kind of place that really captures the imagination, as the legendary homeland of the Queen of Sheba and with a history as rich and beautiful as its countryside, this is a country that really has it all. Travel to the source of the Blue Nile, explore the rock hewn churches of Lalibela and trek in the Semien mountains.
This trip takes you around the highlights of northern Ethiopia. You begin in the capital, Addis Ababa where you will have time to explore before heading on to Aksum in the north. Here you will explore various historical and archaeological sites. The next stop is Lalibela and the rock hewn churches. Then on to Gondar and Bahir Dar where you explore Lake Tana the source of the Blue Nile, the Blue Nile Falls and the Semien mountains. Finally its back to Addis and then homewards.
This trip is a good combination of what makes Ethiopia so special, history, archaeology, culture and the the great outdoors all combine to make this a really wonderful trip.
