HIGH ATLAS TREK
Trek through the valleys of the High Atlas, climbing passes and staying in local villages. This trip gets you right into the heart of the Atlas Mountains, some of the trekking may be challenging but the views and the scenery are more than worth it.
This trip begins in Marrakech, you will spend a night here sampling the sights it has to offer before embarking on your trek into the mountains. The adventure really begins at Setti Fatma, a trailhead village. The first day sees you travel through a lush valley following the path of the river before stopping for the night in a local gite d'etape.
The next two days see you travel into the heart of the High Atlas. You will be climbing passes, marvelling at the spectacular views, visiting Oukaimeden, the highest ski resort in Africa, before finishing at Douar Samra, a guest house a short walk away from the lively trailhead village of Imlil which you will have time to explore on your last day.
This is a trip that will take through some of the spectacular scenery that the High Atlas has to offer and you never know, having seen what this unique place has to offer you may be back to scale Mount Toubkal!
