CAMPING RIDE - TORRES DEL PAINE NATIONAL PARK
An incredible and challenging ride in the magnificent Torres del Paine National Park at the end of the South American continent.
Seven full days riding traversing the Andes, galloping across the Pampas and meandering along frothing rivers, waterfalls and ice blue lakes. Eight nights supported camping. Two nights hotel in Punta Arenas
Being on horseback is one of the best ways to see the less populated areas of the park. Covering ground at speed reaching parts of the park only visited by hardy trekkers and well away from the mainstream hotel routes.
You'll be escorted by the local charismatic Chilean horseman and packhorses carrying kit and all supplies. Arrive at campsite each night and drop off your steed greeted by a cold beer or glacier chilled vino blanco.
Campsites are mainly wild isolated spots with no facilities and this makes for a truly memorable, wild and exciting trip. Experience all the Patagonian elements.....wind, sun, rain, stars, long days of blissful southern daylight against a backdrop of searing blue glaciers, virgin beech forests, snow capped granite spires and wide open spaces for endless gallops.
Some long days in the saddle (6 - 8 hours) It's a fast paced ride and not suitable for beginners. Fitness and experience are important.
The Estancia Ride (staying in farmstays and lodges) maybe more suitable for those of you who prefer a comfortable bed at night. Both rides can be combined with trekking/canoeing/relaxed no do days!
