BLUE ICE TRAIL - TORRES DEL PAINE NATIONAL PARK
An exhilarating and adventurous way to see the wonders of the Park in 11 days.
Trek the classic 'W' hike to the base of the majestic Towers and through the French Valley to the magnificent Grey Glacier.
Gallop across the expanses of the Patagonian steppe and meander through southern beech forests to reach panoramic views towards the end of the South American continent. Finally kayak downstream to the iceberg filled Serrano Glacier lagoon finally reaching civilisation by cutter along Last Hope Sound to the colourful frontier town of Puerto Natales.
Four days trekking, three days riding and two days kayaking.
The majority of the nights (6 out of 10) are under canvas at the National Park camp sites with one night wild camping by the river with no facilities.
Camping is mixed with convivial nights and comfort at the start of the trip at an estancia and midway at the bustling mountain refugio at Los Cuernos.
It's wise to have good stamina levels as it's a trip where one is definitley on the go! Riders should be competent and able to canter unaided.
This is an incredible trip taking in all the main highlights of the park with scope for getting off the beaten track on horseback and with the kayaks.
