LAKE MALAWI KAYAKING SAFARI
Lake Malawi is a spectacular freshwater lake with clear, warm water and many small islands. It is said to have more species of fish than any other body of water in the world, whether this is true or not we couldn't possibly say but the diversity is pretty stunning. Being in a kayak gives you a hippos eye view of your surroundings and allows you to feel far more in contact with the landscape - after all you are only one false move away from being fully immersed in it!
During your stay on Lake Malawi you will have the chance to kayak, dive and swim in the Lake and enjoy the wildlife of Lake Malawi National Park, such as the hundreds of species of brightly coloured Cichlids, along with hippos and monkeys to name but a few.
This trip begins at Domwe Island which is basic but exclusive where you stay in fully furnished safari tents and can explore the surrounding lake by kayak. Prepare your own food and live the castaway adventure! After three nights there you kayak to Mumbo Island where you will find more tented accommodation while you continue explore your surroundings for two more nights.
For the even more adventurous we can organize expeditions further afield by kayak giving you an even greater chance to explore the Lake, its beautiful scenery and unique wildlife.
