PEMBA ISLAND DIVING
Slip below the the waves and explore the uncrowded and pristine reefs of Pemba Island. Meet morays, grouper. hammerheads and barracuda along with a whole host of smaller but just as interesting creatures. Watch out for torpedo rays though!
The deep Pemba channel attracts an excellent array of big pelagic fish, whilst the reefs surrounding the area have a huge variety of species, including over twice as many species of coral as is found anywhere else in the region. Coupled with warm and crystal clear water this all makes for excellent diving conditions.
This trip is based at a beautiful lodge on the east side of the Island. From here you will travel out to a different dive site every day. This is a flexible dive trip so if one day you feel like simply relaxing on the beach or exploring the island, thats fine.
Diving has to be one of the best ways to really become part of the environment and access a habitat completely separate to the one we are used to. The rules are different underwater, you experience a sensation akin to flying and the sheer exhilaration of being cocooned in the big blue makes diving something everyone should try.
