TULI HORSE RIDING SAFARI
Explore an area of great diversity, magnificent vistas, ancient civilizations and dramatic rock formations bordered by the great Limpopo River in the south. Aptly named the "Land of the Giants" for its baobab studded plains and large herds of elephant, the land remains largely untouched by man and is home to a wide variety of wildlife species. Travelling by horseback is a great way to explore the area allowing you to immerse yourself in nature without the noise and barriers that come with a vehicle.
This trip allows you to travel across the landscape, staying in different camps as you go, so you get a feeling for the varied habitats of the area. It also means you can get out looking for a different adventure everyday. One of the highlights of the trip is staying in the Kgotla, an old boma, this is an open area enclosure surrounded by leadwood logs. You sleep on beds under the stars with a blazing fire at the centre, listening to the Botswanan night all around you.
Some of the wildlife that call this area home include lion, cheetah, leopard, African wild dog, a multitude of plains game like zebra, wildebeest and giraffe, as well as over 350 species of birds. The scenery is also beautiful, providing a spectacular backdrop for you as you ride.
Because this is a ride in remote areas in the presence of big game, guests must be experienced riders. They must ride regularly (at least once or twice a week) and be comfortable at a canter and gallop as well as being able to do small jumps should they have to.
