MACATOO CAMP RIDING SAFARI
Track elephants between the islands, gallop with herds of giraffe or simply enjoy riding in the stunning landscape of the Okavango Delta. With no roads or fences you can ride with a sense of freedom rarely possible in the UK. Add to this the exhilaration that comes from galloping through the water or coming across the big game that inhabit the surrounding area and you have a really brilliant outdoor experience.
This trip begins when you arrive at Maun. You will be transferred to Macatoo Camp by a small plane, giving you a birds eye view of the Okavango delta and the area you will be exploring. You will then have 7 days to really experience what the Okavango has to offer, riding everyday with some game drives thrown in. Accommodation is between your base and fly camping in the bush, to allow you immerse yourself even further in the landscape.
As this trip involves encounters with game and riding in the wilderness you should be a confident rider with a sure seat and a good amount of riding experience.
Riding through the Okavango Delta provides an experience like no other, coming face to face with big game from the back of a horse is an exhilarating and unforgettable experience. By freeing yourself (for the most part!) from motorized vehicles you can get closer to your environment and the experience you will have will be all the better for it.
